How to travel to Chatuchak Market when in Bangkok?
There are literally so many options you can go by, like:
You can travel by Bus, Train or Metro
Train/Metro:
BTS – Mo Chit station (Sukhumvit Line N8) to Gate 2 at the Northeastern end
MRT – Chatuchak Park station (Blue Line BL13) to Gate 2 at the Northeastern end
Bus:
Plenty of bus routes stop in front of Chatuchak Park and Chatuchak Gate 1.
They are by far the cheapest option, until you plan to walk to that market (that's free, ofcourse)
Also, In my experience so far, buses don't have any strict timings.
Taxi:
either Book a ride on Bolt,Grab,inDrive,TukTukHop, EasyTaxi,LineMan,MuvMi, Maxim,Uber or find a local taxi, you can also get a bike ride.
Bike:
Book a bike ride on Bolt, Grab or any other app like MovMi
Please Note : Bangkok's traffic is bad so Train/Metro would be best if you want to reach faster , if you want to travel cheap go for the bus, if you want the comfort of avoiding all that struggle opt for a Grab.
Timings & Days:
Wednesdays and Thursdays – 07:00-18:00 (plants and pots)
Fridays – 18:00-00:00 (wholesale items)
Saturdays and Sundays – 09:00-18:00 (all that you want, peak crowd)
What to eat?
There are a lots of street food installs inside and right outside the market gates. If you want something more refined there are a lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

What to buy?
To be honest, you literally can buy anything but few things that are worth buying here from are
- Passport holders custom designed here at a super cheap price (for a price much cheaper than rest of the Bangkok)
- Rash Gaurds, other beachwear and swimsuits.
- You can buy Bags , watches, wallets , goggles original, second hand originals and copies whatever fits your pocket.
- You can buy really high quality travel pouch and bags.
- You can take back home some ready to use local Thai curry pastes, sauces and candies they have a lot of options .
- You can also have a look around the souvenir shops, they have got a lot of options: Bubble bath bombs to uniquely crafted soaps in so many cute designs that you won't be able to take your eyes off.
- You can buy cosmetics
- You can buy books that might be rare to find.
- You can also have a look at antiques, paintings etc.
- If you feel loney and are looking to buy yourself a companion 😉 you can buy plants or even pets like pretty beautiful birds (though some of them might be IUCN Red listed near-threatened and threatened , it's illegal to trade them , so of you really decide to get a pet for yourself or loved ones make sure that they don't belong to these categories, as you wouldn't want to get into any legal trouble)
- Also, if you are looking for something affordable yet stylish in clothing or affordable food and you have entered from the mall side or main road area then hold your horses and until you reach the back gate from where you can walk to MRT ,on the roadside there will be several shops that offer dirt cheap clothing and food, I missed that and later regreted because I just couldn't wait to buy stuff asap
